There have been many times where I wanted to share an image, part of news article, piece of code, an embedded video or even a funny conversation with my friends quickly. Whenever I tried to copy/paste the text into the Facebook chat or MSN messenger, the formatting would be completely lost, making it unreadable or wouldn’t fit the lengthy text. For images, videos or articles, I would have to provide them with the link the the original article, and tell them where to scroll too and what to look for. This process would not always be convenient as the friend on the other side would spend a bit of time just trying to find what I wanted them to see.
Instant messaging didn’t support what I wanted, and email wasn’t convenient enough.
Then I thought, there must be a better way to show someone exactly what I want them to see, and just that! I searched quite a bit for a solution that did this, but couldn’t find anything that supported all of what I wanted.
So, I decided to make one.
notepaste.com is the solution I came up with to do everything I wanted. Users are able to create quick notes by either typing in the text box and use the formatting tools available, or copy and paste almost anything into the same text box. NotePaste supports text, rich text, images, videos, flash and more! After typing or pasting the note, users can click on the Save button which will automatically generate a short url which the user can use to share the newly created note. The note will be just as what the creator wished his friends could see.
